Business Loans | Chase: Small-biz Lending Up 30% In Illinois

In Illinois, it made 28,279 small business loans worth $1.18 billion. That’s up from the 21,754 small-business loans it extended in Illinois worth $788 million in 2010.

Chase is Chicago’s market share leader in deposits, with share of 19.8 percent. It has about 420 branches in the area and $57.9 billion in deposits.

Nationwide, the New York-based bank said it extended $17 billion of credit through nearly 400,000 new loans and lines to U.S. small businesses. That’s a 52 percent rise in dollar volume over 2010.
